You must use a true large size phillips screwdriver. Find the biggest you can . If you use a smaller driver in any way the pot metal parts will strip out very quickly. And once they do it's an uphill battle to assemble. It's a very good product. But make sure you are using a large phillips screwdriver or you are in for a world of pain. There is enough cross bracing that once you get it together it is a very sturdy piece. Everything lines up well, it's very square, not rickety and cheap at all.Bought 2. $70 cheaper per unit and free prime shipping over raymour and flanigan. Just have to assemble yourself. First one took me about 2 hrs second one I had complete in under an hour.Wont change my review until the manufacturer makes this right. Parts to build this correctly are missing! Annoying!UPDATE: Changing my review, after 3 weeks they mailed me the missing parts. It is a decent drawer and spacious.I wanted to upgrade my kid’s dresser as eventually she’ll be sharing a room with her sister. I went with this one because it had an extra drawer than her previous one. The drawers are a bit smaller than her old one as far as depth goes, but with how small children clothing is, I still have about two free drawers that can eventually be for her sister whenever I want to figure out how to share a dresser. Right now I have bedding and such in them. The directions and installation was super easy to do. I did it by myself in about 2 hours. It feels like good quality wood and I like how it has hardware for the drawer bottoms so they won’t ever bow. When we got this dresser, we had just moved to a house (I waited to buy furniture for my daughter because she didn’t have a room until we moved). As soon as she started sitting up in her bassinet I knew it was time to upgrade her I quick hopes online and ordered her the Davinci Charlie 4-in1 crib. I didn’t like the matching dresser though so I kept looking. I found this. BEST PURCHASE EVER. My daughter has a tiny room so I knew I had to take her dresser taller, not longer. Her dresser reaches perfectly just under her window (it’s a short window sliding window if that helps). It came fast and while my husband was at work. Me being impatient, put it together myself and was just finishing up by the time he came home. It is beautiful and it is sturdy! Much better quality than the dresser we got my son when he was a newborn (and that one costs more with only three drawers). I love that the top drawer arches just like her headboard. I am currently debating on upgrading her to the full size of her bed (she’s three now). I just love that this dresser will grow with her over time (more than enough extra space for clothes, I currently use the bottom two drawers for all the blankets she’s accrued the last three years, the drawers are so deep we don’t need the extra ones just yet!I considered less expensive chest of drawers before I chose this model from Storkcraft Kenton. I also have their six draw dresser and I remembered how well constructed it is before deciding on this five drawer chest. The thing I like about this chest is that every part is bolted or screwed together (with the exception of the top). This make the whole piece stronger and gives it a quality feel. I put it together myself in about 2-3 hours taking my time. All the required hardware is included but not one piece extra so don't lose anything. Everything fits perfectly and the drawers are deep and open smoothly on tracks.I prefer this type of construction to pieces that use plastic dowels to hold the parts together. This piece will last a lot longer and won't fall apart as easily. This dresser is worth. So much more money . It’s super sturdy and high qualityOVERALL: For this price, we were extremely pleased with this dresser. If you shop around, most dressers that look this nice and are this sturdy (as mentioned in the reviews, this is a VERY sturdy dresser), cost far more. We picked this dresser, because we have a small nursery, and needed a lot of storage space but didn't want to take up too much space horizontally (and this dresser is nice and tall). We didn't notice any odor with this dresser (purchased white dresser). Also, one thing that was awesome, is that it came with a wall mount which is very important if using this dresser for a child so that this would never topple over a child if a child were to pull it forward. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU USE THE WALL MOUNT, BECAUSE THIS DRESSER IS NARROW ENOUGH FRONT TO BACK THAT THIS COULD BE A TIPPING HAZARD DESPITE ITS STURDINESS.ASSEMBLY: This comes in a very large (and very heavy) box. We wanted this dresser to be for an upstairs nursery, but the box was so heavy that we ended up taking the pieces we wanted up separately to build it instead of the whole box. We found assembly fairly easy with very thorough directions. The large pieces were labeled well. Some useful tools to have on hand for this include a small battery powered screwdriver and a drill/stud finder for the wall mount (as mentioned earlier, it does come with a wall mount). The only challenge was that the numerous bolts/screws of different types are in different bags, but the bags don't have labels on them. It would be helpful if those bags were labeled. We did encounter one issue in the building process. One of the small pieces of the wood split when inserting the screw as instructed which was a bit inconvenient, and this is why we removed one star [SEE 1st PICTURE]. We considered going out to Home Depot to purchase a small wood block to replace it as it wouldn't have been too expensive, but we ended up using an L bracket to mount against the split wood to reinforce it [SEE 2nd PICTURE. Either way should work if you run into this issue. It wasn't a big enough deal to us to return it; it was just a small wood block component inside the drawer.DRAWERS: You've got a lot of space inside these drawers! In the first drawer, we used organizer boxes for tiny baby socks, hats, and bows. [SEE 3rd PICTURE] The rails on the drawer prevent the drawer from a child pulling the drawer out on themselves. Drawers close easily and quietly.
